FSA3031UMX Description
A bidirectional, low-power, high-speed, 3:1, twin USB2.0, and MHL switch is the FSA3031. Double-pole, triple-throw (DP3T) switch configuration that is designed to transition between two high- or full-speed USB and Mobile High-Definition Link sources (MHLTM Rev. 2.0 specification). For applications when the Vcc supply is unpowered (Vcc=0), the FSA3031 has specialized circuitry on the switch VO pins that enables the device to resist an over-voltage state. Even when the control voltage delivered to the control pins is lower than the supply voltage, this switch is made to consume the least amount of current possible (Vcc). This functionality, which enables direct communication with the general-purpose I/Os of the baseband processor, is particularly beneficial for mobile applications like cell phones.
