Clock generators are devices used to generate clock signals to provide a stable and accurate time reference for various electronic devices. In digital circuits, the clock generator is usually used as a timing controller, for a variety of logic gates and registers into the synchronised pulse signal, to achieve stable data transmission; in computer chips, the clock generator is responsible for generating the CPU clock as well as a variety of input and output interfaces for timing control.
