Actel

Actel, headquartered in San Jose, was established in 1985 and was later acquired by Microsemi in 2010. It serves as a leading American manufacturer famous for its non-volatile and lower-power antifuse FPGAs with high reliablity as well as programmable logic solutions. Actel acquired GateField in 2000, which enable them to expanded their antifuse FPGA products to include antifuse FPGA products. In 2004, Actel shipped one-millionth of its flash-based ProASIC PLUS FPGAs. In 2005, Actel innovated a technology called Fusion which integrate mixed-signal solutions into FPGA programmability. In 2006, Actel developed IGLOO FPGAs based on its non-volatile flash technology. In 2008, Actel introduced IGLOO PLUS FPGA and 2G low-power solution IGLOO nano FPGA.
